Congrats!! You know we expect to see chick pics once they all hatch

I am setting some golden cuckoos as soon as I can get enough eggs collected. Dh is working on a new pen for my regular (silver cuckoos) so hopefully I can set some of those at the same time.

I will share pictures once we are done hatching- 34 eggs went into lockdown and so far we have 15 Andalusian chicks out- they are a loud bunch and are driving the cocker spaniel nuts

Haha that's so cute! Our pomeranian always knows when the chicks are hatching before we do. He runs and tries to get up to the bator window so he can see them. He loves all babies so much and adopts all the kittens, chicks, ducks etc. around the farm lol.

ours isn't interested in adopting them but looks in the bator and licks her lips......... once they are all hatched and dried off they will move to the brooder in our heated garage- they are too much for her to deal with. In fact we have a few that are trying to climb the shelves into the next compartment- had to put 2 back into the shelf they belong on

Some people just don't care
So true!

I just put Tahiti, one of my blue copper girls in with my golden cuckoos. She lays really dark eggs and has heavily feathered shanks and is a big big girl. She is a light powdery blue and doesn't show much copper at all so it will be kinda cool to see what kind of chicks she hatches. She likes to go broody and my golden cuckoo girls don't, so it will be a plus to let her hatch the chicks and raise them and I won't have to LOL. I always wanted to try making some blue-golden cuckoos.
