Let's talk Golden Cuckoo Marans!

Keep in mind that I've never had this breed, but yours looks girlish to me, if the color of the photo is true.

Mine are three weeks tomorrow. I plan to move them out of the house this weekend, so I'll try to take some comb shots of mine before I transport them. Two of mine have smaller combs than the others, but all are very pink. I think I am doomed :/

Fingers crossed! I'm not sure about the combs because I have at least two that are obviously cockerels
Huge thick legs
That sticky out toe at the back
Hairy legs
Very light coloured
Much bigger combs
Bigger tails
But yellow combs

I just think its a breed that is very hard to tell apart
One think I have noticed the two darker birds I'm hoping are hens
Always have their heads down onto the body
Not showing the necks
But the cockerel ones stretch their necks

They are amazing love the legs
And the colours are beautiful
That cockerel pic 3 is a real looker
I see what you mean about going pinky coloured

Thanks for posting those 4-week photos, chickee! Having seen them, I will be very, very surprised if one of my birds turns out to be a pullet.

I couldn't take them being in the house anymore and moved them this evening (along with their Ecoglow). There was no time for photos, although I'll try to take some updated ones soon. Mine have very heavily feathered legs like yours. If I decide I am determined to keep this breed, I certainly will have my choice of roosters!

I'm pretty much sure 4 of my 6 are roos
But I wasn't planning on keeping any roos because of the noise
I'm in the centre of a tiny village

Saying that one of the roos is so affectionate with me
Always wanting to sit on my shoulder etc
He's staying so neighbours best get ear plugs?

They do get stinky fast and I am always glad when they go out to the chick house!

The rooster are very loud. I am lucky to live in the middle of 40 acres and the chicken pens are away from the house. The rooster chicks ares always the friendliest of the bunch. I love the roosters best.

Okay so I've looked all over the Internet and can't seem to find any golden cuckoo marans chicks anywhere. I live in south Texas and I would really like to get some. If anyone can tell me where I can get some golden cuckoo marans chicks I would really appreciate it.

I know a breeder in Decatur but that's quite a ways from you I imagine. If you ever would head up to north texas, she has several maran varieties, Ameraucanas, isbars and cream legbars.

I have a rooster that hatched in march that I'm willing to sell. I also have 2 pullets that came out of the same pen as him... Unfortunately I can't breed them. One hatched March and other was april
