Its crazy how fast stuff can snowball. I was looking for sinks because the backsplash on my sink has pulled away & was leaking water under the cabinet (plus the horrible stains in the acrylic basin.) I got some chamois to roll back there & started doing research, but yesterday I realized it wasn't just the small splashing making things damp. The faucet had broken inside the stem somewhere. Under my sink was so wet it was staining the outside stucco & underneath my house was literally dripping.
I shut the water down to the sink, spayed under the cabinets with bleach & set the fans on it to dry it out.
Because we cant cook & clean for 5 people & 6 indoor animals out of the bathtub, we grabbed a basic SS double basin sink & faucet from Home Depot & set to put it in late last night. DH was not thrilled to have the extra, unexpected work, wasn't being careful & broke some of the tiles getting the old sink out.

Now we're trying to find 1970's tile that will match.
When it rains, it pours & when it leaks, it leaks all the way thru.
I think I might jimmy the repair enough to get the sink in & the water back on & then maybe start saving for a bigger kitchen redo than I had planned.
