Letting Pigeons out during the day?

I fly white homers. At least the parents of all my birds are snow white homers. My birds have a Belgium blood line.
My point is not all pigeons will home to a loft when kept in captivity for 2 weeks.

This is what one bird accomplished after being kept prisoner for nearly a year. This pigeon was mated and had raised numerous clutches of eggs in that time. It was a happy reunion when he came home to his original mate:

The dark blue bar is a feral that trapped into my loft.

This is Pipper My grand daughter hand raised squab he is special and has his own story.

The matriarch patriarch of my flock.

Some of my 2013 Squabs trap trainning.

Lost this one to a hawk.

Ringo he is supposed to be snow white???.

Not snow white either!! You must breed for brown before attaining white.

start out with 10 and keep count... 10..10...9...8...7. etc. The one's that don't return are the ones picked off for dinner by falcons, hawks, owls, cats, racoons, coyotes, etc.. Good luck.
This is not my experience. I started out with 3 pairs.

1 pair old dutch Capuchines,
1 pair kings
1 pair Indian Fantails

I let them out every day as they live with my chickens.

Several months later I now have 25 pigeons and some feral ones that joined up with mine!!!!

They breed like crazy!
