LG 9300 first time go

Bert will write up an AAR on this fist run with the LG9300. It might be a good mini article to combine things others have shared and done to make it to a decent hatch.

Minion number 10 has pipped his outter shell!

9 and 10 have arrived. Number ten needed assistance but is up and about and doing fine. Number 11 was candled last night. It has internally pipped and is moving but there is still no external pip. We will do a manual pip later today. We've achieved a 90% hatch but are trying for the 100%. Fingers crossed.

Tried to help number 11 but he is gone. We did the pip and verified before removing enough of the shell to verify. In hindsight, we should have done the external pip for him last night while he was moving around.

RIP minion number 11. You were a good egg.

On the bright side, we had a 90% hatch rate with the LG 9300! We are going to clean the bator, instal the fan, run it for two days learning about using it with a fan, and pick up eggs to set next weekend. Thanks to all who shared advice along the way.

Awesome! Congrats! To me, it looks like that particular egg did not loose enough moisture. Maybe the shell was thicker/less porous. The air cell marking and the fact that from the pic it looks like a lot of excess fluid in there, I'd say it pipped and aspirated on the fluid. That's my hypothesis.
