LG against a Luminaire and a sportsman (UPDATE)(update 4-24-09)

One of the students that takes care of that animals at school said they the other 2 bators are down 3 eggs in one and 4 eggs in the other.
They made the teacher let them in to candle the eggs. They just throw the eggs the the trash can, breaking them. I was hoping to get them pass the seventh day, knowing this week there was no school. I should have been there to put those seven eggs in another bator. I am willing to bet those eggs were good. They don't know what in the heck they are doing. I am going to enjoy the winnings from this bet. I hope that neither of these gentlemen ever try hatching eggs again.

Today being day 14 my foes had to candle their eggs. Another 9 eggs out for them. One took out 8 of which everyone of the eggs would have hatched. The 1 the other took out was infertile, will give him that. Still haven't opened my bator yet. Will do that Tuesday when I pull the turner. One of the students told me I had a temp spike Wednesday, the temp when to 101.9 for over 2 hours. Now as long as nothing happens in the next week, I can take my bet to the bank. The 1 bator is down to 24 eggs and the other is down to 32 eggs. I still have 36 working for me. Now if I do have a bad hatch and the one with 32 eggs hatch out every egg left, we will have a tie. I am betting my hatch will be 34 out of 36 eggs.
I told Mr. donkey to put all the eggs back, but he said they were non fertile and cracked all of them. Each egg was developing perfectly. If the students hadn't been there, I might not be here reporting to this thread.
This man is not only a danger to himself, he is a danger to anything he touches.
I did tell him once we left the school, I would treat him as I would treat any predator. I think he got the message.

I hear you !!!! but there is no amount of testimonials that could ever get me to buy an LG. Even the makers of the LG ( the Chinese ) won't even buy them LOL. There are way to many horror stories on this forum to even remotely consider looking at these train wrecks of a bator. "Sorry just the facts maam just the facts"

Well panner123 I wish you luck. I know that the LG will hatch it is the spikes and humidity problems. Just hatched 9 out of 12 first time using my lg. Yes I baby sat the whole time. The thing that may be in you favor is it is in a constant room temp. I hope they don't have a turn down temp. control when not in use or you are out of the running.

If the "Little Monster" (that,s how I call mine LG) is so gooood, why there is 100's of threads on BYC about deadly spikes of the temperature this "great" bator is famous to deliver anytime (mostly at night when you are sleeping)?

LG bators probably killed more hatches than a carton box with a light bulb.

And lot's of BYC past threads prove it.

I don't understand when someone post that they bought an LG and are frantic about what to do when all H*** breakloose. This Forum is a great source of info and advice, take it. Don't buy until you do some research, The never ending list of unhappy customers who buy this Chinese junk will never learn. OK one last time,

THE LG INCUBATOR IS JUST PLAIN JUNK!!!!! AND THAT IS A FACT NOT A MATTER OF OPINION!!!!.

I never seen much of complains about cabinet incubators , Sportsman and Dickeys in general, although I do not own one so far, but I will buy one in a heart beat if my volume of hatching justifies it.

I want to see one thread on this board about "instability" or "deadly" spikes by cabinet incubators.

He stated cleary why he wanted to do this and the point was he knowing what he was doing could take a crappy bator and hatch better then people that dont know what the heck there doing but in fancy bators.
