OK. That was what I was hoping. The room itself isn't well ventilated at all, and the humidity is usually on the high side (I always put in too much water). Thank you both for reassuring me!
Yes water can get stinky where the air is still. Is your machine a still air or does it have a fan?

This came too while I was gone.

This looks SO soft! My next project is a blanket for the bed, either knitting or crochet, haven't decided yet. It's going to very expensive but I want to use Alpaca fiber
It's for you, so the cost is worth it. Merino is another soft, soft fiber, btw. I had a nice merino fleece once... oh, so nice to spin, once I got the hang of it; it's another short fiber.
I almost started a business making the dogs, different colors. People love dogs! I did sell a few but they take about a week to make and I can't charge enough to make money on them so I quit. :D But I still make them for friends for birthdays or Christmas for fun.
Yeah, people don't want to pay for the time it takes to make something like that. Most of them think it should cost, oh, maybe $2-3 more than a cheap stuffed animal at Walmart. :he

Thank you! I see a lot of this Merino yarn on line and wondered if it was a soft fiber. It seems to have good reviews too. I will look into this as well!

Yes, hand made goods certainly can't compete with Walmart. :hmm I think humanity has gotten so far away from doing things by hand, they have lost touch with how much work goes into any project. The world is definitely changing.

I think you should just go to the knitting shop (if you have those in America), touch everything and decide which one you like best.
We have a few that carry natural fibers. A lot are just synthetics (not that there's a lot wrong woth those either). But touching is definitely my favorite part of fiber shopping

I don't know the name, because I'm a man, but my mother knits with soft fluffy sinthetic fibre, and with cotton fibre. She makes carpets and blankets.
You'd be surprised how many guys run fiber booths at our sales 😅. Especially the ones who Shear their own sheep, their hands are usuly super soft from all the lanolin in the wool

OK did a MUCH more thorough check. I think I found the problem. One of the unfertile eggs was indeed smelling. It got yeeted. Checked every other egg, all seems well. There are vents, but they are already open
Great you found the culprit, definitely remove unfertile eggs. Perfect on the vents too, the more oxygen the better! :)

Touch is a wonderful mental/physical sensation, men NEED to be touching fibers if they are at a fiber show!!
