LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

We get free admission to the fair for a day and set up our wheels to spin. People come by to watch and ask questions.
I said I was going to do a spinning demo at a fair, and a very wise friend told me that I will get asked lots of questions, and a lot of them will be the same questions. Then she told me to remember that even though it's the umpteenth time I've heard that question (that day!), it's the first time that person has asked it.

Yep. I've been that person a fair amount, so hopefully I'll be good on the answering side of things. Worse case scenario I can just stick with the basics and let Mom answer the harder ones

I had a woman watch me spin for several minutes, very intently. Finally I noticed her, smiled and nodded, because I could see she wanted to ask a question. (Sometimes you just recognize the look, ya know?)

She asked, "What happens if it breaks, or the end flies out of your hand?"

Oh, like this...? and I pulled off the bit I was spinning. I fished it off the bobbin, threaded it back through the orifice, and started spinning again. She was amazed! I explained that the texture of the fiber made it easy to reattach. "Self-mending," she said, and nodded.

Do you have a picture of this? I would be really interested in seeing it!
Yeah, give me a few minutes

That was the main issue I have with the Devon. It was not a fan of mending, and that's like the only thing I'm really good at that spinningwise.
