Because males and females are equally loved by me so I feel terrible for being happy that a female survived
Don't feel guilty about being happy this one survived, the one you give care and affection to appreciates the love and that is all that matters, especially to the one survivor. Love is love, there aren't different grades or levels of it. :)

Judging from what I've already seen from her, I think she'll still try to let them. I think three LF chicks is a good number for her, don't know if she could comfortably hold more, especially as they grow
They will still try and climb on her back at 3 months old! :gig

You really shouldn't beat yourself up over this. I love my males too. That doesn't mean you need to feel bad that the female survived, you love her as well. And it's OK to have preferences as well. Not necessarily gender preferences, but preferences in general. Not all babies will be your favorites

Bad. He's technically off standard, but since there's no standard one could argue otherwise. Unless it's female, and/or remains perfect conformationally, without any other male being a close second, it won't get to breed

It's also by far the most vigorous chick, as mentioned before has very nice conformation, temperament seems good thus far, not too flighty, not too friendly. It's also one of Cruella's chicks, and I'd really like to keep the broody raised chicks. Rest assured, I'll try to come up with a good excuse to keep it. I might even go as far as to putbit in a separate pen with a female that almost always seems to throw her color
