LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

This really isn’t a joke thread, I’m just trying to find other people like me. I’ve seen threads for moms, for seniors, and for people from different states. Why not make one for LGBT folk?
No shade- I think your having trouble being taken seriously because your looking at the issue of chickens a little different. Threads about seniors and chicken keeping will have help on how to deal with heavy feed, enjoying the simpler things that younger people can't enjoy due to young families and being too busy. Threads in Michigan will talk about keeping flocks safe in long cold winters- TX will talk about flock health in long heat spells. The only chicken tending lifestyle issues are urban/city/farm. Big box vs diy. So it might be confusing as to why a thread would be started that deal with personal issues and not the issues of raising a healthy flock. Just a perspective.

This thread isn't really any different than the dozens of other random rambling threads that DON'T get people in a tizzy.

I'll have to ask mom when she gets home what they're called. I know my current one I'm using is at least as old as I am, probably older. Was grandma's, now its mom's
Today it's time to ply both my singles, then this batch will be done. Took a total of 3 days (roughly 1.5-2 hours each day on the high end) once today is done. As opposed to hours and hours per single, not to mention the frustration and tears. My 1st single this go around didn't break once on its own. It was so calming.

Once this is done, I'll have to go back to writing, I've just needed a break while I try to figure out just what all I want in this book and how to not have it just be a bunch of random bomb shells for my friend to edit

I feel like an idiot and feel terrible
The coop door got left open last night while it was snowing and I didn't know until an hour ago when I was able to finally get out of bed to go check on them.
Everyone is free ranging right now because the door was left open and they seem fine but what should I keep an eye out for?

Frostbite, if it gets cold enough.

Are they all accounted for?

Don't be too hard on yourself. If everyone's ok, it's a "no harm, no foul" deal. Can you make some kind of mnemonic to remind yourself to shut it?

I have locked myself out of my house. Now my "rule" is that I look at my keys in my hand before I pull the door shut. (Yes, I have a spare key outside the house now too.) Maybe you could come up with something to do/look at/touch that would remind you to shut the coop door...?

Everyone is here.
This is the first time it's happened. Only because I haven't been feeling good the past couple days.
Everything will be shut properly from now on
