LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I've been looking into getting Katahdin sheep.
They're nice if you don't want to mess with shearing sheep. Most people here use them if they breed herding or livestock dogs because they just need the sheep, they don't need or want to deal with the wool too.

That's the thing, shearing is a pain, and goats can be very difficult, so figured this would be a happy medium. :)

They're pretty skittish, but most sheep in general are. They're great for meat though.
That's what I read, yeah. I'm kinda hoping to be able to milk, too. Don't need much, it's just me after all.

i love sheep, i want to learn to shear.
also re: perms, i'm unsure of the extent to which it acts like natural curls, but be aware that curls are a PAIN and will usually go every direction except where you want them to. Mine usually stand straight up, especially in the morning... brushing just results in wavy frizz-poof

Only slightly jealous here... :)
Don't be. It's not super great stuff. It's from my mystery goat who had who the F knows what in her. Plus it's full of dandruff that has tk be picked out bit by bit with tweezers before i can wash it
