Unless the raccoons were completely starved, and/or had a ton of uninterrupted time to eat, you'll likely find the body if they did get her. Usually raccoons eat the head and guts and leave the rest.

Which is why I'm hoping out a bit of hope that she's hiding

Found the senior hen!! She was standing underneath one of the apple trees. As I walked up to check her over, she was making so much noise that made it seem like she was complaining

My cosplays are almost done!! I can't wait to share photos. I'll be attending Kumoricon tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday so I'll have loads of photos.
I just need to get red business pants or some sort of pants that fit my Charlie Morningstar cosplay then it'll be complete.
My Zoey from KPDH cosplay should be arriving by tonight as it's out for delivery.

Well that's neat they're blooming at the same time! Does that mean they can be pollinated? I don't suppose they would be dioecious like some other cacti, etc, but I really just feel this genus is still so otherworldly to me and I can't believe you both can keep these alive! Thank you for sharing the flowers, so cute! Were you expecting them to or did you think they weren't going to bloom? I think you both have said sometimes you don't know if they will or not.

Well that's neat they're blooming at the same time! Does that mean they can be pollinated? No pollination, unfortunately. This is the same plant that’s flowering, so unfortunately it doesn’t seem to take pollen from itself (I tried and failed three years ago).

Ehh, not entirely. I had high hopes this one would bloom, as it’s my most mature plant, but they’ve had a terrible year. Thankfully it had enough energy to bloom!
I can’t see the other guys blooming this year, which I’m sure TwoCrows will say about theirs as well in a moment.

I miss having a bigger collection of them, so hopefully I can source some next spring

Yeah, same here. I’m a little sad I won’t get to see autumn flowers, but as long as they split during the winter, I’ll be happy

Oh, see, you can tell how much I know--I don't even know what is one plant! Okay. That makes some of the previous lithops conversations make more sense. Haha. Well that's still neat; I will also be waiting in anticipation when 2 separate plants flower at the same time, (I mean I am also happy to see them any time.)
