LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I know! Thank you! I'm generally not the biggest fan of mixes, but these guys are slowly changing my mind! As I have mentioned, after my silkie fiasco I'm so worried they might get sick
I'm sure it will be okay, I understand that fear though. Thankfully you're part of this amazing community that can help and support with health concerns :hugs

My only real concern is that most of the medicine recommended is either illegal here, has a different name, or can't be found so I need to order it. That's probably why I'm stressing so much

The worries you have are respiratory right?
I have similar struggles here, most things I'd need have to be prescribed

Yup, most likely at least. What the other chicks had was so weird, haven't figured out what it was. Oh well, I'll try not to think of it again, and I hope these guys will remain healthy, remain and grow beautiful, and fingers crossed go broody

Oh my goodness this is a LONG thread! I tried reading through the first few pages (that was a heck of a ride), as well as the last few pages. As someone who identifies as Ace, I'm not always accepted even into the LGBTQA+ family. I hope that's not the case here! There were too many pages to read through to find out if we have any other Ace members, but I'm happy to be here! I currently have 8 hens, all named, with 3 more on the way this fall. Good to meet everyone!

Of course you're 100% valid, and accepted here! Welcome to the thread!

I'm sorry about those chicks from before, I know how heartbreaking it must've been.

I'm sure they will be okay, fingers crossed for them
Do you have access to any products such as vetRX? Not a cure for anything, but can help with respiratory issues I think. Just a suggestion anyway
