LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Last year when I was still working at Wilco, there is this guy who usually brings in his well trained off leash Wolfhound. I went over to chat with him about his dog one day and heard these 2 loud-ish ladies openly complaining about an off leash dog. Like, excuse you??
From far away, you couldn't tell that it was off leash.

When I was really young, I went over to a friend's house, he had a 10 month old Greek shepherd (think Pyr but all white) for some reason, he was triggered by me running. He caught up to me, and jumped onto me. My friend told me that it was just the way he played, but I could hear him growling, and pulling at my hoodie. Thankfully I only got a few scratch marks, but predictably that dog turned out dog aggressive and possibly human selective. That's what happens when you have LGDs into pet homes

No worries about interrupting.

I love the idea of big, fluffy dogs. I really do. I just have hardly had any experience around them, and with their size versus my size, I know that I would not win that fight. Plus I read cujo like 10 years ago, that probably didn't help much
Never read or watched cujo!
She is a big fluffy dog, loves cuddles. Very gentle with people.

My dog is better behaved though. Big but not quite so cuddly. I have a good bond with both dogs, I trust them both. But keeping my dad's dog away from mine is still stressful. Can't wait to move out honestly

I mean, I'm a big believer in breeds having certain general temperaments, but individuals are defined by training

That pup was showing serious signs of disrespect and it needed nipping in the bud- its a shame that didn't seem to happen for that dog

I also like wolfhounds! But I prefer deerhounds honestly. In general though, these two breeds have lost a little of their working ability over the years, and since I'd like to do lure coursing with my future dog it's probably a no from me

Agreed although I do think it also had to do with livestock thing, or lack thereof. LGDs are built to live outside and blend in with the stock and protect it, so if they don't many times the humans become the stock. It didn't help I was the first outsider he'd come into contact with

My dad met an ex-police German shepherd, the dog did not like him. At all. I think that's one of the only times my dad was cautious around a dog.
And that's odd to me, considering how well trained those dogs are lol

Wolfhounds are so pretty. Again, love the idea of their looks. I think they actually fit my list though, I'll have to see if I can find the list on my old phone
