LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

That's me. I'm the type of person that laughs throughout the WHOLE movie, but when I lay in bed at night I stare at the darkest corner of the room unable to sleep in the fear whatever scary thing I saw will come for me
This!!!
It's not that scary until I'm alone in the house and it's dark. I just anticipate freaking jump scares around every corner.
Maybe I'm crazy I don't know

But also I occasionally suffer from sleep paralysis, so I now have a nightlight in my room
It is necessary and I'm unashamed 😂
Mostly

Oh my goodness this is a LONG thread! I tried reading through the first few pages (that was a heck of a ride), as well as the last few pages. As someone who identifies as Ace, I'm not always accepted even into the LGBTQA+ family. I hope that's not the case here! There were too many pages to read through to find out if we have any other Ace members, but I'm happy to be here! I currently have 8 hens, all named, with 3 more on the way this fall. Good to meet everyone!
My boyfriend is Ace, so no issues here, lol! Welcome!

And statues...
That's my oldest! She walked past this dog statue every day as a youngster
Every damn day
Her fur went up, she barked, she pulled. She growled. So fierce. Ready to attack.
She was walked up to it. She sniffed it. She calmed.
The next day, repeat. The next day, repeat.

She had issues. She's still blind as a bat but at least we can blame it on her old age now.

I like Steven King's short stories better than his novels. Most of them MUCH better.

He wrote, "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption," which was the basis for the movie, "Shawshank Redemption. One of my favorite movies.

Morgan Freeman is in it, and does a lot of narration. I love that man's voice. I would listen to him read a shopping list.

OK back to the naming thing, if I call him Pumba I can name the flock the Disney flock, but I slightly prefer Napoleon, he's such a sweet and caring little man, always putting himself before me and tucking the girls behind him (or shoving Ursula to the front). Also sorry I'm so random with my posts😭

Why is it always late at night when you're trying to sleep, that your mind goes to these forgotten memories??

I just remembered this time, when I was like 11 years old
I saw a homeless man outside a store and my parents gave me change to go and give to him. When I did, he thanked me, then looked me dead in the eye and told me to trust myself, and follow my dreams. That parents aren't always right and that I should trust my own heart, its my future not there's. He told me to remember that
It was such a weird... and brief conversation. And being a kid I just laughed awkwardly. I remember my parents gritting their teeth behind me. Lol

And now I'm looking back at it... like, that man may not have been sober, or thinking clearly, but there was such a lot of pain in his eyes. Now I wonder what happened to him.

I mean, he wasn't wrong either- parents are not always right. And I wish my parents hadn't made me think he was crazy. So many years ago. I wonder if he's still around

Sorry for the rant. Bit of a random one

Both names are adorable! Hard choice!
If you prefer Napoleon, go for it! You can still do a Disney theme with the others. Maybe there's a disney character called Napoleon?

Sorry, I have opinions about Steven King lol. My boyfriend loves his work, I have never read a single thing of his and I don't really want to... I had to reshelve so many of his darn books when I volunteered at my local library as a kid that it basically turned me off for life if you can believe it. (him and Dean Koontz....)
Steven King and Dean Koontz were my childhood! Plus Clive barker and a few others lol. I was the youngest child so I just got hand me downs from my brothers. My mom probably should’ve paid more attention to my books lol. I can’t even tell you how many times I read the dark tower series.
