And here's the co-nesters. The Java hasn't hatched before, the white pheonix won't stop hatching (she had at least 2 broods last year, I almost want to say 3)

They are absolutely gorgeous (as are all your birds) ugh yall I'm so impatient for a broody now. I've tried almost everything. I'm hoping one of the pullets from the Disney flock goes broody soon, since they have silkie ancestry

Mine tend to brood when there's a giant pile of eggs I was too lazy to gather.

Except the Java. She hid hers, and then the white got broody when the Java touched her. Super contagious

Yeah, Dougie started sitting last year when I didn't collect their eggs for a couple days, a little nest, but she was determined to brood
I had the break the news that they weren't fertile, and she agreed to eat them instead.

But someday... perhaps I'll get some fertile eggs for her, if she gets broody again

Oh I wish! I guess I'll try and leave a whole bunch of fake eggs out in one nest. I'm hoping the bantam pullets start laying soon, but I'll put eggs from the Tsouloufati under them, I don't wan them hatching pullet eggs

I'm starting to think about a pond design for the ducks (that'll come in two years or so:rolleyes:) I'd ideally want something that only needs to be cleaned once a week
You're going to need either a BIG pond, or one heck of a filtration set-up!
