What kind of succulents do you have? I used to raise a bunch, was even in my local club.

Everything and anything, except from some cacti species, and most calanchoe. I currently have three pots of Haworthia, a bunch of echeveria, some crassula, two calanchoes, another I forget it's name, a moonstone plant (don't remember the scientific name) a few cacti, a few other species I just picked up, and my favorite of all, lithops. We actually have our plant expo these few weeks, so I went with some friends and picked up a few plants, mostly lithops!

Lithops? LITHOPS?!? O_O

I LOVE LITHOPS!!!

Never had much luck with them, though...

I had mostly cacti, but anything that caught my eye, especially if odd-looking, would end up coming home with me.

I really want some succulents. I want a cactus, but the cats and dogs would be all over them :(

Yeah, I love the odd looking ones as well! I've been keeping one (well actually two but it's in one pot) for the past year, and since I love them so much I picked up four more species from the plant expo!

I've never had a problem with Buddy eating them, and he's a FOODIE. But that's why I don't keep aloes and calanchoes, in case he decides to go vegan. I say go for it, start with some in small pots and see how they do. If they end up wanting to eat them, just keep them out of their reach. Or, just get succulent species that are non toxic and not dangerous, just in case
