How many LF eggs can a serama efficiently brood, based on your experience?

I only have seramas at this point so I don’t really know. Never tried it. When my girls are broody and older than a year, I’m hatching more seramas!

Why don't you use birds younger than one year to brood?

I could use them as broodies on other hens’ eggs but I try not to let them hatch anything from their own eggs when they’re young as the eggs haven’t reached full size yet. You can end up with really undersized and weak chicks

Yup! thank you for creating the thread originally, it's definitely a fun place! Is there a way you could maybe change the name to add more letters so that it is more inclusive?

Ah, ok, I thought you didn't use them to brood period, not even for other eggs

Going to be honest with you guys, when I’m around other people I trust I just say qu**r but I know that word has some debate around when it’s acceptable to use it. Hence the hencorship.
