OH MY GOSH! Miss Cruella is off the nest! I threw some meatballs near the nest, in hopes that it would entice her out. 30 minutes later, she was gobbling them up! Let's hope she's smart enough to also drink water...

Well at least you now know how to extricate her if need be!

As long as she gets off the nest twice a day, all is good. Of course getting off her nest too much is not. She should be fine.

I really feel confident about it now. You know what they say, third times the charm (it's her second, but from the overall amount it's three)!

I've always fed twice a day by scattering feed, since my birds are free ranging a few acres. I find that excites the broodies enough to get them up fairly regularly, since everyone is going nuts.

This might be it. I also tried throwing the pieces really dramatically to make sure she saw them . With Ursula in the same coop, everything is exciting!
