Id say yes especially if you find a good mother. They teach the chicks flock etiquette while protecting them from others trying to bully or steal their food we freerange and the chicks and mum goes out after about day 5 but we have very very few preditors. And mum knows best lol. Also our dogs are quite protective. Im doing my first incubation at the moment and I'm pretty apprehensive about it but hopefully I'll make a good chicken daddyIs having a broody hen worth it? I always incubate eggs. My own chickens will never brood because of the breed type.
