It's great that you want to do dog sports! Thing is, I would say service and assistance work is work, not a sport. All working dogs come from working breeds, but not all working breedings will produce working dogs. Some of the puppies just won't have it in them. Here is where proving your doh in sport comes in. Sports guarantee that the dog is structurally sound, so if a puppy does not have the working ability, it can still be a really good sport dog
That is a good point! Both her parents where doing some kind search work and some of her siblings where sent overseas to be search and rescue dogs, so I am hoping that would be another option for the puppies. But I still have about a year before I really need to make any decisions

Is anyone else just super tired today? I'm exhausted to the point where an extra coffee didn't even put a dent in it.

It's probably stress honestly though.
Everyday
I only drink coffee and I think I'm immune to it

I like to complain but honestly it might be my fault for staying up until 2 am every day.

I can’t find many dog sports that actually happen near me! and there just aren’t that many that are popular in the uk. Every thing I try to do ends up frustrating

Totally. Went to bed before midnight, got up just before 10, and want to just crawl back in under the sheets. Only thing that got me up this morning was my chronic pain and the loud PEEPS from the chicks.

I reduced the number of watched threads I have and this fixed my issue getting notifications
Are you still "watching" the thread? Perhaps you can unwatch, then click watch again. Maybe that'd fix it? I hate it when this happens. I always end up missing notifications
I'll try both these tricks. Some that I 'watch' are long dead/resolved/inactive. Which is annoying if they are taking precedence over active threads.

I don't think I'll ever personally breed. Honestly, it sounds like it's just not worth the effort honestly. That being said, I might be open to foster a mama and pups or a pregnant mama from the shelter if they're looking for new fosters when I move and am more stable.

You got the point! If it sounds like it's not worth it, that's probably where you'll find an ethical breeder. Ethical breeders are crazy! Oh another thing I'd like to mention is, if you live in the US, most breed clubs have a breed rescue, so if you'd like to help there and learn more about a breed you're interested in, definitely take a look at the breed club!

Yeah. I looked into one of the breeds a bit already, but I'm I'm staying where I am right now, and I'd rather find somewhere close to my future place, so I haven't looked too hard. Especially since it will likely be 3 or 4 years before I'm ready for a puppy anyways

Totally. Stress, general feeling of being tired, and i also struggle with migraines multipletimes a week. Like @BelovedBirds sleeping late might have something to do with it
