LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Idk what you guys think about the topic. But I think I am a believer that animals can be gay. I don't see why they couldn't be, we're essentially animals too
But their situations are very different to ours, so I'm not sure we'd pick up on it if they were. Many animals don't get a choice in mating/reproducing, so we'd never know- but in situations where animals mate for life, I'm fairly certain there have been documented cases and observations of same sex birds etc. I may be wrong, I'm trying to recall an article I read a long time ago

I was once given a cockatiel, that was supposed to be a breeder, because he preferred the other males. So yes.

Not only can, but are. Penguins, pigeons, albatross are just a few of the gayest birds on our planet. In addition, many fish species change their gender

I mean, depends
How come you'd rather stay at work?
Depends on the reason...
Got a cat in hospice right now. I'm the first person home, so if he dies during the day, I'll be the one to find him, and he stays in my room most bights to keep him warm, so if he dies during the night, I'm most likely the one who will find him.

@fluffycrow I know right! Very privileged. That's my dad right there "ew, why does that have to be on my tv"

We're about to start watching our usual marriage show, it's an experiment conducted by relationship experts-- participates undergo an arranged marriage.
It's super interesting but the recent seasons are clearly just for drama. I kind of do enjoy it still though

Anyway I digress, they had a lesbian couple for the first time last season, and I'm so hoping we have another couple this year!
They always have a gay couple which is amazing, but only one time had a lesbian couple on the show
At the same time I'm preparing myself for the awful things that are going to be said by my dad. Again. It's hard to enjoy the program when he's making awful comments

Don't forget all the mammals! Giraffes are notorious for this, and elephants. And so many more. It's normal, it's natural, it happens.
