Goldfish are very frequently neglected from what I've seen. Small tanks, bad filters
Don't even get me started on goldfish bowls

They honestly should be banned. It's downright cruelty.

Goldfish were my first passion in the hobby, nothing like watching solid gold aquatics talk about goldfish. I love butterfly telescopes (could you guess why?) And oranda

My planted 65g (sorry, don't know litres) cold-water tank. One of my pride and joys.

Oh, and Spartan on top, yowling about not being able to get the fish, lol! (he was just yawning)

This was in the early 2000s.

I adore them as well!
Mine are shubunkin. So a little fancy, but not too much. Got my mama and papa fish...4....5? 5 Years ago. Papa fish died a while ago, young still but he was never that healthy and ended up having swim bladder issues. My female and their two babies are doing good though.

I was actually thinking of doing a small balcony goldfish pond, maybe putting two goldfish in there since it would probably be around 40-60 gallons. I also saw some nice koi my LFS has in stock, but I'm not doing that, I can't provide that much water. I love shubunkin too!

That's a beautiful aquarium. Agreed, I don't do litres and I'm European! Buddy doesn't seem to mind the fish too much, he does mind the fish food though

I built an indoor pond once, but a cat fell in and punctured the liner! Discovered it when I went into the basement for something and there was water dripping from the ceiling!

Definitely won't be building an indoor pond, it will become the world's largest dog bowl
