LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

you could take a look at livestock rescues or even auctions
Rescues around here have such stupid rules sometimes, I don't have high hopes for there. And auctions might be a potential spot, but I'm really not looking to start out with mixed and questionable animals. Hence why I was looking at registered spots for my starters at least. I just wasn't expecting a 4 week bottle baby doeling to cost almost a grand when adding gas money for the trip to pick her up.

And yes, I know I'm being picky. That's just how I am, especially after the freaking Mareks issue. I don't want to bring something onto my dream property that will make me have to start over again

I might have a problem. As you might know I want to do an aseel×ISA brown cross, and I have two available girls for this. One is my favorite hen on the property, an elderly (actually both are) little hen that has 6 toes on both legs as well as one broken wing from a predator attack. She is not with any roosters right now, and thus she would be easier to breed her with Big Red, while the other one, the one who has the better temperament for this experiment is currently with Kolovos. Should I go ahead with the easier option?

I don't know much at all about chickens, least of all breeding
But I'd go the harder way and choose the one with the better temperament
