LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

(I'm sorry to mention this fluffy)
Dougie is SO broody
Like incredibly broody. I think she may start sitting full time tomorrow or the next day.
This girl is insane. She's got too many eggs to sit on so she's just rolling them under her tummy and wings, trying to cover them all.
And she gave me the sassiest, fluffiest face when I approached her.

I'm convinced she'll be an amazing mum someday
She’s so pretty. I just went to check on my broody hens and one of them had scalped one of her chicks. LOVE first time moms.
I might've made a mistake. I went on the European Poultry Association to look at some SOP's (you don't want to know how many times I've written standards) and well I made the mistake of looking at the Ayam Cemani SOP, and they had kind of a gamey build, and of course the gamefowl lover in me fell for it :lau
Ayam Cemani are SO COOL. That being said, they’re a breed that is particularly prone to cancer due to linebreeding and how much melanin they have, so I’d be aware of that if you decide to get into them.
Omg we got a crazy storm going on outside.
Rain, wind blowing like crazy, and lightning
It’s supposed to storm here tonight too. I’m not seeing it right now though. Just went outside to mist the chickens with a spray bottle because it is so warm. I hope you stay safe and your power stays on.

Power went out a split second but it's still on now

Sorted the eggs under Bunny, Mare and Trinket. Might still move eggs a bit, just because now Mare is on really young eggs and she has been sitting for a while. So I Might give them to the new Cornish that was brooding and Mare Might get my Cornish babies that end up hatching instead, if she'll take them (I see no reason why she wouldn't though if I slip them behind her with some fake eggs to keep her thinking she's on something hatching.)

So they'll be posted in my flock thread for thr people that don't want to see, but would anyone here be interested in eggtopsies of my incubator and certain broody eggs that don't hatch? Just so I know who to tag when I make the post. I know a lot of people like the macabre, especially when it's from something that can't be helped like an egg just failing to develop all 21 days

I like to see this stuff

Just looked up an average minimum cost for feline asthma diagnosis. On top of the (minimum) $300 vet visit + vaccines, I might be paying an extra $250+ 💀
I'm hoping it's just something small that can be treated and be done with. Because unless I get hired somewhere soon, I might not be able to afford feline asthma treatment.
Oh man I’m really sorry :(. That sucks.
