Not a parent, absolutely not with these plants. I'd accidentally poison myself within a week.

But it's giving me lots of ideas for my stories in terms of assassination attempts

Nah, I'm talking poisonous. Like Manchineel apples, gympie gympie (though that one might be considered venomous), rosary peas, doll eyes, oleander....

Grass admittedly was a hard habit for me to grow out of. I'm just so picky that it tasted good and I was too young to really know it would look bad if a kid was just chowing down on grass . Now after like a decade of Monsters Inside Me, I know what I'd risk if I ever felt like doing it again

Yeah. Doesn't hurt that a lot of them are unique looking. I'm currently using the Manchineel apple for one of my stories to take the place of the Apple in Eden
