LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

OK so a little update about what's been going on. Little Miss undecided (that's me) has a plan, but as you'd imagine breeds have shifted. Also sorry if someone doesn't want to hear about this, yall are some of my closest BYC friends so I figured i should share it here. Here is what is definitely going to happen. A few days before contacting the hatchery, I've been talking with an acquaintance who has serama. Now that the phoenix and Pekin are out of the equation, and with Napoleon gone, I want to add some more members to the Disney flock. So I will definitely be getting two serama pullets. Big Red is staying, definitely for this season, we'll see about next year. Back to the other breeds. So yes, two serama pullets are definitely coming. Now, as for what breed I'm going to get into, I'm still undecided. Serama are strong competitors right now. Then again, I've been thinking that maybe it's best to stick to my original plan, and have as few of breeds as possible. That would mean getting into an LF breed that has good egg production, is sweet, and on the plus side a relatively good butcher bird, though I won't be the one doing it. So far three breeds fit this category. LF cochin, Brahma, and Orpingtons oh and maybe Sussex. Cochin are out of the equation because I've been told they do really badly in the heat. The same acquaintance that has the serama also has brahma. That was everything I think

It's been a while since I wrote seriously. Years. I have a lot of respect for you.
Same here. I've never written seriously. So yeah, best of luck, and huge respect for you
Well, I mean this stuff will never be published and will barely see the light of day (I'll have to be self aware enough to throw them into a pit of lava before I die). But one of my friends like some of the characters in them and the other really likes reading my stuff minus the spicy scenes, so I kinda also do it for them

Cochins won't have any more meat on them than Phoenix. It's all fluff that makes them look massive

Well, IMO (because I'm a very seasoned writer) the first reason you write is for yourself. So it doesn't matter they won't be published

OK so moving on from my mental breakdown😅 (I'm still not over it) we're left with Orpingtons and Brahma😌, hope my dreams don't get crushed there as well

Brahma take at least a year, I think at least 18 months to get to full size if they're from good lines. Also, those large dog sized roosters are almost always a lie and just clever angling for the camera
