It could be that there isn't enough protien then. How old are they? What lines? I have a male that the entire line I hatched was infertile, so no more baby quail for Jacin

few different ages. It could be 2 of my males are getting too old they are around 4 years old. Didn’t quite realise how old they where!

I have had fertility eggs from them before, I hatched a few last year

I wouldn't mind trying out quail, but I'd want some that can brood their own eggs and can withstand my winters.

I will check the protein percentage again then, I think it was 19 to 17%

Boyfriend kept me up late watching a really weird anime (he streams it to me over Discord) called Food Wars. Very much over the top ridiculousness, which is what I needed.

Sometimes ridiculousness is the perfect medicine for our minds and souls.

I have yet to find any feed with that high protein in the uk , Higher then 16% is all ready difficult to find

Do they sell any Turkey feed? Most gamebird food is all the same for Quail, Turkeys, Pheasants, etc..Turkey feed is usually 26% or so percent protein.

You can only feed what they have on the shelf! But always keep your eyes open for the highest protein possible. You could always supplement them with a small bit of cooked plain ground beef or turkey meat. 1/2 teaspoon per day per bird. This would probably get them up into the proper protein range. Good for feather growth and sheen too.
