Yeah. I think having my cousin around too helped since he already knew her and so she could just bring me into the conversation every now and again. Plus I was the only one that caught onto the rules of the games he had brought to play without trying to quit

Why ask there? It's not a variety you can grow in a garden right now

Its good to keep an eye on first time mothers, some have been known to abandon or even kill chicks, not all that common though. Hopefully her mommy hormones kick in deeply and she makes a wonderful mom!

I have a hen who only likes raising chicks who are over 3 weeks old. When they reach this age, she becomes broody and steals them from their baby coop. She then orders them around, after about a week they submit to her mommying technics.
She’s weird.
