Hoping it all goes well!![]()
Sounds like everything is all ready, I think it's all going to work out just fine.Yup! Yesterday we got it all ready, covering gaps from where the babies could escape. Let's hope that some of the eggs under Cruella hatch, and the pipped ones in the bator don't get suffocated from all the humidity

We are all here with you on this journey.I really hope so! Thank you!
We are all here with you on this journey.
If Cruellas eggs have externally pipped already, they could hatch this evening! Check before you go to bed tonight, and first thing in the morning! Oh and don't lure her off with food today.
Oh wait, you don't go to bed until 4am.....check when you lock birds up for the night.![]()
I too was worried she might break if she got disturbed too much but it's obvious she is in full broody mode now. At this point I don't think anything will drive her away. Perfect timing on giving her the eggs, un pipped eggs gives her the opportunity to learn the entire process when they do pip.I made it a point not to give Cruella any pipped eggs, just because it might confuse/stress her to have chicks moving around under her so soon after getting new eggs. I will not even look at her the wrong way though, just to make sure she doesn't get any more stressed. Actually, the past week I've not had to lure her out at all! She found a nice schedule, and it worked perfectly for her. Her condition is amazing this time round!!!
Super egg-citing, I will be checking in here all day in anticipation, hopefully babies start zipping soon!!I will! The bator gets one more check at 1 am
That's perfectly fine! Is Cruella on the floor now? You don't want chicks falling out of the crate. Get the chick feed ready and put on a plate or something low so they can access it.By the way, using the hay/straw for the bedding of the brooder is OK, or should I find something else
