That's true, either gender may feather quicker if the breed has this tendency to be mobile quick. But I'd get Heartbreak-her ready in your holster just the same.Yup! These guys are very fast featherers, I'm assuming because of the need to get off the ground as soon as possible. Compared to the brahma×aseel chick, these guys have much more feather growth. This chick is Heart Attack/Heartbreaker/Heartbreak-her!

A "tad" may be enough to keep your flesh.Just a tad though![]()

That's the fun of breeding programs, breeding in traits you want to see more of. I did this a bit with my Bobwhite Quail, they are known to be very flighty and stressed. I started breeding my most quiet and friendliest birds and by the end I had a couple of lap sitters! The landrace *should* have this tendency, although some don't. I would like to breed for that, however. And I won't make any names official just yet, because I'll jinx it

It helps to keep good records, write things down like the pros and cons of each bird. As the generations accumulate, you can really mix and match. It's fun to do!That's really cool! I definitely have a few things in my line, like really big straight combs, fast feathering, and wariness but not flightyness
Beautiful birds! ❤ Love the crown and comb on the bird in photo #6!!@fluffycrow
I've dug up a few.
