Hopefully you dry out soon! All birds are OK, some just more wet than they'd like. Ursula spent the night in one of the storage rooms. No floods, thankfully. Just muddy, poopy, runs

Some of our customers had horrible static at one of my former pizza places. Combine that with my bad hearing and it was always a recipe for disasterShe answered, "Ma'am, I can't hear you. There's a lot of static on the line."
Do you remember the days of having a "party line?"Our land line used to get a craptonne of static on it. I'd call AT&T to complain. One time, I said to the woman who answered (the fact that I talked to a person tells you this was about 25 years ago!), "I have a lot of static on my line."
She answered, "Ma'am, I can't hear you. There's a lot of static on the line."
Yeah, bingo. And this was in the days of dial up internet connections too.

Oh yes! We were on one! If you wanted to call someone on the party line, you dialed 52 and then their number. When they answered, there was no question but it was someone on the party, because there was about 8 seconds of a rattling noise that slowly faded.Do you remember the days of having a "party line?"Crazy times.
"You want a large kitchen with a zamboni and trees?! I'm sorry I believe you've called the wrong number..."Some of our customers had horrible static at one of my former pizza places. Combine that with my bad hearing and it was always a recipe for disaster
Nope. Because if they got mad, they'd hang up and call again and get someone else on the phone to complain"You want a large kitchen with a zamboni and trees?! I'm sorry I believe you've called the wrong number..."![]()
Some birds hate rain, others go play in it.Probably not, to be perfectly honest. Especially when considering what's been going on all over the country. Some birds are on high alert. The Tsouloufati don't like it at all. The Asiatics are doing amazing, they were out free ranging this morning when it started raining, they were all guided back to their coop by Big Red I imagine. The serama pen was complete and winter ready, so they're happy as can be. Cruella and her babies don't really care that they're getting rained on right now, they won't go in their shelter. Go figure
We used to do that too to our mom, (ours was 662), and get the phone to ring and nobody would be there.Oh yes! We were on one! If you dialed 52 and hung up, your own house line rang. Oh, what a funny joke to play on someone in the house, like your sister, who thought every phone call was one of her friends, calling her.
Ah, the simpler days...
Some birds hate rain, others go play in it.Muddy runs are the worst. *Note to self*....never chase chickens in a rain storm and deep sloppy mud.
