LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Yup, exactly. If it's gonna live out, it's gonna live out. Not get the high life for three months and then be moved outside. And yes, they're THIS tiny! I think I've shared photos of it before, but here's a Euro next to the first two eggs Foureira laidView attachment 3651764
Wow that's tiny! Let me see if I have any comparison quail eggs to compare to your photo. Somewhere I have a photo of a quail egg next to a quarter... brb..

Ok, found it!

So I gather Quail eggs are about the sane size as a Serama egg?

I'd guess so. Probably slightly smaller, but pretty much the same. Next time someone asks me if I have quail, I'll say "sure"

Wow, I had no idea Serama eggs were so small! Well, no big deal, I don't keep chickens for the eggs, more the beauty and fun. I just might give Seramas a try!

I've heard that too. But can they be that fragile? If this is the case, they'd need heat all winter here. Doesn't Wind keep Seramas? @Canadian Wind? I don't believe in insulating coops, birds need to adapt. I can't imagine they wouldn't adapt to the cold as fall rolled into winter.

I've also read that OEGB are hardy little birds. I need to do some wind-breaking around the small coop they'll be spending their winter in. I hope it doesn't get as bad as last winter! Because I do NOT want to have chickens in the trailer all season, again!!!

Amazingly, the outdoor birds were okay for the short period of time it went down to almost -50.

Sorry for the late reply, I got 'poked' by a dear friend that was worried because I went missing for a few days. :) :hugs Just being lazy!
