LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Y'all, words can't express how excited I am to get out of this place and into my own home... I can't wait to be free from the bigotry in my "family".
I'm outa here soon :D
So sick of people hating on the lgbtq+ community... I can't believe I used to contribute to that. :(

I'm so excited for you! Get a bunch of ducks and celebrate :wee

I finally have options 😆
I could expand my flock, or let Dougie hatch babies, or get another dog
(finally decided after some calculations and planning that I can have both my family dog with me, Sadie, and my other dog Storm, no one is left behind :celebrate)
Idk what my plan is exactly yet. We shall see :D
I will keep you all updated though, 2024 is looking bright :wee

If anyone is interested in making your own dog treats-
I reccomend these

I ground up some (dried) mealworms, and then added oat flour, pumpkin powder and an egg
Mixed it and spread it into a baking silicone tray, baked at 180 for 10 minutes, and got these perfect little dog biscuits
My two and my dad's dog LOVE them. They go crazy for them!

I'm looking forwards to the day I can move out. A bit jealous of my brother, if I'm being honest. I'm just too tied down and poor to find a place to live on my own right now

That’s true for a lot of people, sadly. Everywhere is so expensive now. Especially like Massachusetts/most of New England, New York, California, DC, etc. CRAZY prices around here tbh. Like sometimes in Boston rent is double digits like $10-15K or more. Even the “cheap” places are $2-3 or $5K. The affordable units around here are all still $2,000+. That’s not affordable. And starter homes here are all like $600,000 or more. MAYBE 4-5 hundred if you’re lucky. And no land.
