I couldn't find a cutesy one that was appropriate for here. So here's what he normally looks like. I'll change prproportions a bit though probably. And yes, i am biting off more than I should

This probably looks more daunting to make than it really is. If you take your time and get the pattern layed out well, I am sure you can make this!

I think honestly the most time consuming part will be just building up the depth of the pieces. I'll probably just use white fiber for the middle since it's chwaper than dyed.

I might also ask mom if she has any knitting patterns that might work, but I don't know how his face and flames would look knitted

Knitting is definitely tighter than say crochet. You could always cut out pieces of material and stitch by hand or with a machine for facial features? Then sew this piece of face on?

I've seen some very interesting plants on line. Where will you get yours? I don't think I can find them locally, can you order them on line?

I'm going to get mine online, probably. Or else I'll have to wait for the plant expo. They're not common in plant stores. You can definitely get them online

I've never seen them around here either. My interest is getting piqued now, let me know when you get yours and teach me how to care for them. Maybe I will order some plants then too!

I will! I shouldn't really be looking to purchase them now, since it's their dormancy period. But, it's their dormancy period, so it's like having half of a new plant to care for

It's a holiday that doesn't really blip on my radar. But for some people, yeah, it's a day to really express who you really are via your clothing/costume. I can understand that now. This thread has taught me a lot.
