Picked up two ducks today, a Buff that I named Mochi, and a Swedish I named Matcha. Also got an almost-year-old Silkie roo, and he named himself: Bon Jovi.

Still letting them settle in, and yes, there is.

Last Saturday when I was online with my gaming guild, one of the members was eating frozen mochi, matcha flavoured. I started singing Matcha Mochi! Matcha Mochi! And decided those were perfect duck names

Yup, in fact the ducks refused to come out until I went in to shoo them.
They were happily washing themselves

I remember now why I don't allow roosters inside. BonJovi woke me up at least once an hour, starting at 2:30 am, until my alarm went off at 7:20!

Oh, and I ordered some chicks today!!!

Decided on 6 OEGB (2x Red Pyle, 2x Porcelaine, and 2x Mille Fleurs), 7 Brahmas (6 females, one male) and 4 Chantecler.

I think I mentioned this before, but I actually placed the order now. Just need to wait to see if they'll have them available, as they're a smaller hatchery here in Ontario. Hopefully have them late April or early May.

I also ordered a new incubator, and a brooder heater.
