A long time ago, I had this thought:

Suppose you're on the 8th floor of a burning building. You have to go out the window, but it's way too far to jump. The only way you will live to see another day is if the firefighter on the ladder helps you out the window and down to the ground.

Does it matter if that firefighter is a man? Woman? Black, white, Christian, Muslim, Gay, Trans, or ANY OTHER adjective?

NO.

If it doesn't matter then,

IT. DOES. NOT. MATTER. EVER.

Not sure if I mentioned this on this thread, but at the end of this (or I guess last year’s, now) wildfire season, they found a woman that would start a bunch of them near her house just to look at the firefighters. Pretty sure it’s not true, but that’s a different level of commitment

We have people that call in fake emergencies for that reason. Usually little old ladies though
