LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

As someone who grew up in a cat hoarding house, there really isn't a worse smell. So, I don't blame them for being upset, but if its a 1-time thing then they need to let it go, she's a cat, not someone trying to be malicious to anyone or anything. That said, if its a normal thing or even if that's out of the norm for her, I'd get her checked out by a vet if you can. Suddenly not peeing in the cat box sometimes was the first sign we had that my cat was having pain in her hip and shoulder due to arthritis. We took her in because she'd always been perfect about the cat box and suddenly started peeing out of it or next to it for some reason. A new cat box with a nice ramp was all it took to get her back on track for a long time.
She's completely fine. If she was constantly peeing on the floor, I'd take her to the vet but there's no need to
Even if it's a 1-time thing, they bring it up everyday until she does something else they don't like

I mean, peeing out of a litter box can be a big deal. My girl is awful about peeing in the dirty laundry, and it's near impossible to get the smell out sometimes
It's a rare thing for her to pee out of the litter box. She does get upset if her favorite litter box isn't clean though but all of them were clean.

Why are they so fixated on not liking her then?? Like, I could get the frustration if she was peeing often (although personally I would be more concerned something was wrong than annoyed with her if that was the case) but that's so weird to just dislike an animal for no reason, I'm sorry you're dealing with that.

Not sure. They've just never liked Nyx.
We've had her since mama kitty gave birth to her under my bed. Nyx is gonna be 8 years old on April 9th.
