The channel blurs stuff but if anyone is interested in the video, it's from the channel called "EWU Bodycam" and their video is titled "Man discovers nightmare hidden in his garage"
It's mostly just the police talking to the criminal's cousin and grandfather.
This sort of thing gives me nightmares, so I will pass on watching or knowing what happened. But at least the authorities did step in eventually to end it.

What I did not expect to happen in 2025, is Bonnie becoming extremely clingy and affectionate....
Now, don't get me wrong, she's still a demon bun. She'll nip and scratch if I move without permission from her ladyship. But she requests affection now, or demands.
She will come running over and push her head under my hand, I stroke her head and she settles and gets incredibly sleepy. I knew that some bunnies enjoy this and it's a dominant behaviour between rabbits too, but I didn't take Bonnie as one of them....

So now I have a very affectionate loving bunny that has enormous anger issues. I consider it an improvement!
Anyway, she's getting vaccinated tomorrow and I'm off back home to finish some things before moving the animals. It's dragged out longer than expected. I need to finish the duck coop, and put more mats down.

Anyone got any tips on saving a dying orchid? She was doing so well and then last week her stem started yelling and she's dropped all her flowers and buds. I took a look at her roots but there was nothing amiss so tried reporting her with orchid potting medium. Anything else I can do?

Yes they are. People should have to take a test to own an animal and laws should be strict enough that people have to do extensive jail time if they do any acts of cruelty.
100% agree. I think they should bring back licencing for dog ownership, better yet, taking an 8 week course on how to raise, train, feed, socialise etc before being given that licence!
Way too many dogs and puppies being impulse bought and neglected. Working breeds that never get the proper exercise or stimulation. It's a huge shame.

Congrats on the affectionate demon bunny, and on moving out:woot! Please post photos of the duck setup once the girls are in!

Are you sure it isn’t just the flower stalk that’s dying? Once an orchid is done flowering, the stalk will start yellowing and dying. The plant will stay healthy, and will bloom again in the future. If the stalk isn’t completely yellow yet, you could cut where the stalk is green and healthy. The stalk itself is filled with buds, which should/could bloom if the unhealthy part is cut off

Oh my god y'all the stress 😭
I went out to give the ducks a banana as a treat before bed, and Dougie's eating happily and then just stops- she's opening her mouth, flicks her head and some banana comes out, then she opens her bill wide as if to gasp but seems no air was getting in- I notice a huge bulge in the top of her throat, and when I feel it it's rock hard and unbudging, not banana, definitely something hard, she tries to swallow and breathe. Very quickly becomes obvious to me that she can't breathe as she drops her head low and holds her bill open, moving strangely on the spot- so I rush to grab her and stroke her throat to help it go down, not budging. I open her mouth and attempt to look in, she definitely can't breathe at this point and she doesn't fight me, I'm totally in panic now. I hold her upside down and stroke her throat in hopes of getting it out, not possible. I push my finger down her throat to feel for the obstruction, it goes down somewhat, I check if she's breathing, no, I go again and then stroke the outside of her neck and see that it's gone into her crop, I listen and she's breathing, I get her to drink water and she stands still for a bit and then eventually acts normal again.

That stressed me out so much. Did I do the right thing? I didn't know what to do and there was no time to check I just had to get her breathing. I probably bruised her poor throat but she's breathing and she's acting okay now. God I feel awful.

It's the main stem, not the ones attached to flowers- the stalk is going dry and yellow, it started at the top, which I then cut off, and now she's dropped all her buds and flowers. She was doing great and now she's suddenly dying it seems. Its a young plant, the roots are firm and green, the leaves are thick and green, not too much sun, not too little water or vitamins

Maybe I over watered? Can she recover maybe, if the stalk is almost all yellow?

Shes okay this morning, eating slower which makes me feel better, but that's probably because her throat is likely a bit bruised.

:th
Gunna keep an eye on her today and make sure all is well. I'll add, I did give her a little time to clear the obstruction herself, but she was getting no where and it was preventing her breathing. I think I made the right choice by stepping in, but I've not experienced this before so it was extremely stressful and I had to act on instinct.

I wish ducks had teeth to chew...
Actually scrap that, that's terrifying

Most small things eventually make it through the digestive tract even if it's not food. You did all you could here and it may have saved her from choking. I can imagine this was incredibly stressful, I probably would have done the exact same thing. :hugs 🤗

That must have been traumatic for both of you :hugs ! As TwoCrows said, you did the best you could. I’m not sure I would have reacted so quickly

:hugs

Do you have photos, maybe? I still think it’s just the stalk that’s dying. When they are done blooming, they send signals to the plant to kill off the entire stalk/stem. Seeing as your orchid’s flowers have dropped, but the plant remains healthy, I would not worry at all
