Our senior cat Moses has an appointment today to get his face looked at. It's a bit swollen.

I've been trying to do as much Uber Eats as possible so that my dad and I could just split the bill later but it looks like he might have to pay for the full thing and I feel bad. Uber Eats has only given me a single order in two days and it's ticking me off.

Update on our senior cat.
He's okay. They mentioned that the swelling was probably due to the respiratory issue he currently has.
They did a feline conjunctivitis PCR and a feline comprehensive panel.
We should get the results back in a week.

Getting this off my chest.
Regardless of what Charlie Kirk did or talked about/against, there was no reason for him to lose his life.
His kids lost a father and his wife lost a husband.
I hate that they didn't ensure that the campus was safe before it happened.
I happened to see the video of when he was shot and it was heartbreaking that so many people had to witness that

Hey @fluffycrow , have you ever seen one of these? I was going through my coin collection and Google says this is a 100 Drachma coin, but they aren't in circulation anymore since the euro is now the legal coin in Greece. This true?

The drachma hasn’t been a legitimate currency in Greece for quite some time.
As I’m sure google has told you, this says “Alexander the Great” “King of (the) Macedonians”.


I do know that this is purely a collectible piece, but I should say that 100 drachma isn’t as impressive as it sounds. It’s less than a euro, to put it in perspective.

Really? I think this one was only printed in 2014, maybe I'm miss remembering.

And yeah, a look online was pulling up the grand value to about $5.65 on the high end

Another update on Moses.
We got the results back sooner than they said.
I've copied and pasted what was said in the email.

"CBC was rather normal aside from a mild elevation in platelet count (recommend monitoring).
Chemistry panel showed normal levels aside from an elevated thyroid level which would explain the weight loss Moses has been having. Hyperthyroidism in cats is treatable which is great news - recommend starting methimazole transdermal (we will call this into the compounding pharmacy). We can also see changes in the kidney levels once the thyroid is treated since hyperthyroidism can mask kidney disease. Recommend rechecking NSAID panel and thyroid level in 3-4 weeks.
The urine protein creatinine ratio is borderline elevated but recommend monitoring for now.
The urinalysis showed some dilute urine along with a large amount of red blood cells which can indicate cystitis. Recommend starting Moses on gabapentin and rechecking urine in 2 weeks."

For what was mentioned about his weight loss, he's normally 15-16lbs and he's now 11-12lbs.
We got the methimazole transdermal yesterday so we'll be starting it today.
