LGD Great Pyrenees and digging.

Hi all. I need some advice and feedback on my 5 month old LGD GP Winston. He is amazing well behaved guy but the digging is driving me nuts! He has 6 acres to roam on and our Lab to pal around with and lots of other barnyard pals and plenty of play time. We have tried cayenne pepper on the holes and that works but he just moves on to another spot. Putting cayenne on 6 acres isn't feasible! Has anyone had this problem with their LGDs and if so any ideas to make him stop. I also put mousetraps down but that didn't work. Not to mention there is nothing like a white dog covered in mud!

I had Komondors. They dug canyons. They did finally outgrow it. Mostly. Except when the weather got hot and then they dug themselves a cool place to lie. I coped with it by simply filling the holes so I wouldn't fall in one and break my neck.

LOL Canyons we call them moats being on top of springs they fill with water. Spraying hot sauce along his trail has seemed to slow him down!
