Last weekend I got some new little chickens, about 10 weeks old. As I've been observing them in their quarantine area, I noticed they were very itchy and upon closer inspection found they had lice. SO, today I gave all 6 little chickies baths in a salt water, vinegar & dawn mixture and then proceeded to blow dry each one. Never did I think I would be giving chickens baths AND blow drying them. Anyways, some of the lice came off in the water, and more came off during the blow dry (all dead of course). I will repeat the process in about 2 weeks and hopefully they will all be lice free!!!
