lice?

When I was checking out my buff this evening, I noticed what looked like some dry skin (white stuff) under her feathers. It was on her wings and back, looked like all over. Is this lice? They have all been losing some feathers, not many, I thought due to the heat, but would lice cause this as well? Or should I treat just in case?

Is the white attached to the feather shaft or on the skin, if its on the shaft its lice, if its on the skin its probably dry

It was just her skin. Thanks! I guess this was just small freak out from a new chicken owner

if you get lice, poultry dust or seven dust works, the old timers use wood ash in a box letting the birds dust them selves but that only works if you have a lite infestation
