Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

River came in after him, and sat down on her bed. Pulling a book from one of her four large inner jacket pockets, she began to read.
Xylo’s eyes fell to the floor, ashamed of himself and the way he had conducted himself in the past. He had been a horrible friend...but maybe there was reassurance that, at times, Horius hadnt fulfilled his role as a good friend either. But admittedly he was still a better one than he was. He began reminiscing on the past silently...Horius had meant so much to him.

Persepolis smiled back, "Thanks for that," she said in a genuine voice. "God, I'm a mess." she rolled her eyes and laughed. "A cute guy wants to talk to me, I rush past him to go help people and nearly pass out. Then I have everyone all concerned." She added with a slightly exaggerated sigh, "People are going to think I can't take care of myself."
She turned to Luna, trying to hold a serious face, "I'm vain, admit it."
Luna played along with her, stuttering in an exaggerated manner, “You’re-You’re not v-vain.” before finally breaking her serious expression and letting herself laugh. She asked, joyful for her friend’s sake that she could maybe have someone to love, “So do you have anything planned with Hector tomorrow?”

River glanced up at him, then looked back to her book.
(Sorry, I couldn`t think of anything else for her to do.)

(No that’s fine. He’s mainly just talking to himself.) Xylo’s thoughts shifted to River as he felt her look up at him. She was all she had left, he realized. And maybe she had gotten in the way of Horius and him, but he couldn’t have spite for her his whole life. His eyelids twitched for a moment, he was clearly tired. As he stared against the wall, he thought of how he could let this moment pass, the tension between the two.

Why is he staring at the wall. River glanced at him, then realizing she kept glancing at him, she looked away again. Stop glancing between a book and him like an idiot. She told herself.
(K. Cuz, unless he says something, I don`t have something much to write on her reply XD)

(Fair enough lol. Here we go...Xylo’s going to do something)
Xylo slowly got up, and walked over to River, the wooden floor giving slight creaks under his feet. With a sigh, he sat down next to her and gave her a delicate kiss on her cheek as a good night. He then stood up and looked out the window, as if to check if Horius was there, and allowing for her to speak or show affection in return if she chose to do so.

Persepolis thought about it answering, "Well, we'll probably make a stew from our catches. Other than that, I don't really know." She shrugged, "I'm not good at planning. I'd be down to just hang out with him for a while if he wants to."

Luna smiled, hoping “I hope you get some time to tomorrow. Just don’t go out and do parkour a day after you almost fainted, all right?” Luna realized she most likely was sounding like a mother and that could be annoying for her, but it simply showed she cared about her.

River went stiff as a tree trunk as he kissed her. When he walked to the window, she slowly stood up. Say something...
"I`m sorry... I shouldn`t have came after you..." She said, her voice drifting off.
