Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Persepolis placed the flowers in the ziplock bag, careful not to lose any of the pollen.
Taking off her shoes, she waded into the marsh next to the stream, headed towards a patch of seven Cattails.
Luna floated above her, hovering to pick up whatever cattails she could find. Once she had ten, she gave them to Persepolis, after picking off their flowers, assuring they had pollen on them. She broke the silence, noting “Its nice out here.”

"It really is quite nice", Persepolis agreed. She took the Cattails and added them to the pile. "Definitely nicer than yesterday's hail storm" She noted heartily.
"I think we have enough Cattails now. What do you think?" She asked Luna, opening her wings and lifting out of the marsh. She drifted back over to her shoes and put them back on.

Luna nodded, responding “Ready to get back to the cabin and vote and make some food.” She spread her wings and began to fly out of the swamp to the cabin, waiting for Persepolis to follow.

Xylo pulled away after a few seconds, his eyes soft and loving as he stared in hers. He moved the hair that had fallen in her face behind her ears, not breaking the silence until she did.
River stared into his soft eyes. How long had it been since she cared for someone like this? She had never started caring for someone so fast, except for her father who she had loved and trusted instantly. I wish I could see into his soul. To check if he was telling the truth. But I can`t and I never will. I`ll just have to wing it. She thought.
She wanted to talk to Xylo, to break the silence. But she didn`t know how, with out sounding stupid. She wanted to say that she was afraid- afraid that she would be elected. She didn`t know how to take care of the others, she was afraid that they would die.
Die on her watch,
Just like Marie.
"Should we get back to the cabin so that they don`t start voting without us?" She asked gently.

Luna nodded, responding “Ready to get back to the cabin and vote and make some food.” She spread her wings and began to fly out of the swamp to the cabin, waiting for Persepolis to follow.
Persepolis took one length of the woven rope she made out of her pocket and tied the bundle of Cattails together. Hoisting the bundle onto her back, she used the other length of rope to tie the bundle around her waist. She pocketed the bag of flowers and took off flying after Luna, careful to navigate the trees with the Cattails on her back.

Xylo nodded , softly tilting her head upward to place a kiss on her forehead. He then stood up, waiting for her before they returned back to the cabin.

He had taken the first step. He had to work up to it, but she had allowed him to kiss her. Now he had to earn her trust, as she had do the same for him. And that might take time. But however long it took, it didn’t matter. They had started something, too broken things coming together to build something whole.

Luna landed at the cabin about ten minutes later. Almost everyone there was in the center, talking about the voting. She glanced over to Persepolis, some excitement in her face for the voting. But also a hint of nervousness.

Persepolis walked through the door, over to the table where the kills were usually laid out. She untied the bundle of Cattails from her waist and laid the tied bundle on the table. Next, she untied the bundle and placed the bag of flowers on the table as well.
Pocketing the rope, she joined Luna, watching the others hold conversations.
"A little nervous?" She asked, a hint of nervousness in her own voice.

Luna nodded, responding “I still don’t know who to vote for yet.” She asked, mainly to distract herself “Who are you voting for?” before turning around to see the others talk before noticing sadly “Eclipsa hasn’t been here for two days..”, which probably meant she was killed.

Persepolis thought about it. "I'm not sure", she concluded. "I thought I knew yesterday, but a lot has changed since yesterday."
Persepolis furrowed her brow when Luna mentioned Eclipsa. "I've never met her. She's one of the banished, isn't she?" After a moment she added, "If she hasn't come back for two days, I wouldn't think she ever will, unfortunately."
