Luna stood up and asked as she held a hand on the doorknob "I have to do it outside against a tree. Ready to go?" She spread her wings and began concentrating already, not wanting to mess up in front of Persepolis. She had worked so hard and it had looked so cool, it was something she wanted to succeed in showing to Persepolis, not fail miserably.
Persepolis nodded, heading outside with Luna.
Luna closed her eyes as she stood in front of the tree. With a sigh, it began. She slowly levitated off of her feet, dust moving and settling once again under her feet. As she rose, her wings stretched out suddenly, giving her a much more menacing and awesome appearance. The five knives laying on the floor slowly formed a semicircle around her top half, and slowly rotated into position, all pointing towards the tree, the blades shining in the moonlight. She took a deep breath, eyes pressed shut, as she unleashed all the knives into the X carved in the tree, embedding them deeply, at lengths that would easily have killed a human. With a sharp gasp she landed on her feet once again, breathing in short, deep, breaths. However, she smiled. She had done it.
Lucas nudged her, waking her up. He felt bad that he had to wake her. "We need to head back to the cabin, the others might get worried."
Persepolis watched intently as Luna started. She was amazed by how much control she had over herself and the knives as she levitated off the ground and moved the knives around her. Suddenly, Luna's wings shot out. Persepolis gawked, trying not to be obnoxious. Luna looked like a boss, totally amazing. Persepolis watched with wonder as Luna hit her mark with all her knives, with clearly enough force to kill. Persepolis was completely in awe of her, "Holy crap, Luna. That was probably the best thing that I've ever seen!" Persepolis squealed in happiness for her friend. "It's clear that you've been practising a lot, this is absolutely fantastic. I'm amazed." She added, "I'm so proud of you. Thank you for showing me this." She smiled at Luna, genuinely happy for her.
Eva nodded groggily, giving him a quick kiss on his chin before she stood up slowly, looking around in the dark. She hadn't even realized what she had done before she had stood up. She looked at him with a cute smile before waiting for him to get up too.
Luna beamed, overjoyed by her friend's extravagant praise. She smiled again, before responding "Thank you Persepolis. Did I look cool? I can't see myself, at least not yet. I have to close my eyes when I'm doing it so I can concentrate. But when I master it, then I guess I can see." She chuckled in awe of all the praise, some red forming on her cheeks as she acknowledged the continual praise of Persepolis. She muttered bashfully "You're too kind, you know."
Lucas returned her smile and stood up, turning to go but waited for Eva.
Persepolis responded kindly, "You looked even more like a goddess doing that." Jokingly, she said, "I'm going to have to start calling you The Goddess Luna," she chuckled.
