Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

When he returned he was surprised by the amount of things she had accomplished, he let out a low whistle. "Wow looks good. I wouldn't worry too much about the floor, we will use wood for the floor so its less cold." He told her as he went to his sketch to do some calculations on how much timber they would need. "I found some really good trees that should cover most of what we need."
Sierra looked up at him, relieved that she didn't have to do the floor, especially since she had already done the walls. She smiled at his praise, before responding shyly "I'll make the air hole next, right? And good job in finding the trees." She looked at him meekly, her wings folded neatly behind her back like two pages of a book, giving him a little smile, joyous to be working alongside him in building something special for Tory.

Luna kept quiet as they spoke, letting Persepolis explain what the situation was as she knew it best to every detail.
---
Xylo dropped down from the tree, nodding courteously before responding in a friendly yet practical tone, "Of course. I was actually looking for you two, I have something to share afterwards. But what's going on?"
Persepolis gave a curt nod to Xylo, acknowledging that he spoke, "I have something to share, too." She gestured to the two guns lashed with her woven rope to her belt loops. "When I was out training yesterday I heard someone moving through the brush. I tracked them and noticed that it was a human man, a hunter, and they had these two guns in their possession. I ambushed him, taking the guns from him so that he couldn't shoot me." Persepolis paused. She was perfectly calm and talking in a casual voice like they were just discussing the weather. Her words were carefully chosen and spoken in a slow and clear manner. "What I didn't realize initially was that this man was wounded very badly. He had a gunshot to both of his legs and gunshot to one of his hands. When I asked him about his injuries he got very defensive. I pressed him a little, and he told me that he was attacked by two Aves in the area. One of the Aves was described with the same characteristics that one of us here at the cabin possesses. The other was described as having dark wings and wearing a grass mask. That Aves shot him three times with. I'm fairly certain that Aves was Horius."

Persepolis paused, letting her words sink in. She dropped her hands to her sides, putting her fingers in her pockets and leaning on one leg, popping the knee of the other. She looked casual, comfortable. "Next thing I know, he's obviously plotting to take back his guns from me. Probably by force. I panicked, pocketing the guns and flying away with both of them. I spent the night sleeping in the woods a far distance from the cabin, to prevent him from following me back." She finished up, in a conclusive tone, "Now I have these two guns, fully loaded, that I've stolen. And there is an unarmed, injured, angry hunter out there. I've come to you to ask you and River both what it is you want to do about this. I want to know if we should return both guns empty of ammo, one gun empty of ammo, or keep both guns. If we keep one or both guns, I would like to possess one of them." Persepolis stopped talking and waited for Xylo's reply.

Lucas noted the same uncertainty in the other man`s voice. He stood straighter. "I`m Lucas Fleur of the Banished." He said. "Who are you?"
Sam nodded when the newcomer spoke, remembering Lucas from before they were banished. He decided he could probably trust him. Finally, he jumped from his hiding spot in the tree, and landed neatly on his bare feet. His midnight-black wings were held closely to his body as he stood a safe distance from the other. "I'm Sam Collins," He stated.

(Randomly thought of a last name for Sam. XD
Sorry for the extremely late post.)

Eva looked around to the birds, having heard her power. While she enjoyed the chirps and whistles of the birds, River seemed annoyed. With an amused smile, Eva asked "What are they saying?"
River snorted. "Mostly just chit-chatting among themselves, but it`s still annoying when there`s twenty or so different voices ringing in your head."

Lucas slowly sheathed his dagger, but kept his hand on it. "You`re that boy who disappeared." He stated. He studied the other male, he had long black wings and didn`t wear shoes. He locked his eyes on Sam`s. Yes, it was diffidently him.

(XD
Naw, it`s fine.)

Eva smiled, before asking amusedly “You couldnt tell them to be quiet? They probably wouldnt listen, I’m assuming.” She looked up at the birds, finding their chirps much preferable to what seemed to be millions of voices.

Xylo waited patiently for her to finish everything, noting attention to every minuscule detail. This was a serious matter, and one that should be addressed with much thought. He thought for nearly a whole minute in silence, before beginning his reply. He began “The hunter must’ve been pretty inexperienced to have been walking around so carelessly that you managed to steal his weapons. Or he was fatigued from his wounds. Or you must be a really good thief.” He paused, before responding “That attack sounds like something Horius would do, he normally leaves his victims to die. Who is this other person you’re talking about? Im assuming its not Luna, and I know it isn’t me or River, especially knowing how much she hates that man.” He paused, recollecting his thoughts. He needed to know who this other attacker was, and decide what to do with him as well. He could be a threat, as was anyone influenced by Horius. He then continued “What I suggest doing is returning one of the firearms, with the ammo, making sure he can’t reach it quick enough to kill you.” Xylo added with a voice holding some sympathy “He deserves some way to defend himself out here. And someone should accompany you, in my opinion.” He thought some more, before ending his reply with “But I need to know who it could be from here, he or she could be a threat.”

Persepolis stiffened when he called her a thief. She hated being called a thief. She hadn't stolen on purpose. "I agree that the attack sounds like something Horius would do." Persepolis paused, taking her time to continue. "And Luna and I will return one loaded gun, then. We'll throw it quite a ways. I won't be healing his wounds, so it will take him a while to reach it." Persepolis closed her eyes, taking a full minute to consider whether or not she should tell Xylo who the other Aves was. She finally came to a decision, concluding, "It's not my story to tell who the other hunter was. The human didn't give me a name, just a description. The hunter did talk to Luna, but it will be completely her decision as to whether or not she names that person." Persepolis glanced at Luna, making it clear it was Luna's turn to talk. She mouthed, "I'm sorry, someone has to tell him."

Xylo noticed her stiffness, and responded calmly yet genuinely “I meant that as a joke Persepolis, just so you know.” He offered her a lighthearted smile to emphasize that point. He nodded at the plan, before turning to Luna, ready to hear her side of the story.
——
Luna didn’t have a problem speaking to him, she had the uttermost respect for both the leaders. She explained in a quiet tone, “I met Stephen in the woods. He seemed on edge. Eventually he confessed to being there with Horius, tying the hunter to a tree after Horius had shot him. He seemed extremely anxious, and defensive. He tried placing a lot of the blame on Horius.” She paused, recollecting the situation to ensure she had included all the important details, before adding a conclusion “And then he left, going back into the woods.” She glances around, making sure no one had overheard them, especially Stephen. She then looked back to Xylo, wondering what he’d say.
——
Xylo listened attentively and patiently once again, as a good leader should. He didn’t know Stephen very well, he’d have to ask River about him. He responded in a thoughtful and clearly pensive tone “I’ll talk to River about it, and then one of us will talk to him.” He paused, before giving a sincere “Thank you. This helps a lot, and I hope I helped a bit. Was there anything else?” He suddenly remembered, he had to break the news to them afterwards.

Persepolis nodded, smiling, "It's okay. I'm not very good at taking jokes. Especially about that." Persepolis listened to Luna speak, inwardly relieved that she didn't have any issue talking about what had happened. When Xylo asked if there was anything more, she responded simply, "Not that I can think of. What was it you wanted to tell us?"
