Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Luna chuckled, “You’re the great idiot, that’s what.” She holstered her knives as she looked back to her friend, before asking simply “Want to go hunting now? I’m actually kind of hungry, and I’m pretty sure everyone else is going to be too. I saw a deer her west of you want to head that way.” Luna leaned against the cabin wall as she waited for answer from her friend.
Persepolis nodded, stating simply, "Yeah, let's go." She unbuttoned her trench coat, making it easier for her to reach for her weapons. Her quiver was full and her bow in good condition. She bent down, tightening the laces on her boots. She quickly knotted back her hair, keeping it out of her eyes. Persepolis looked at Luna, "Lead the way. I'm starving."

Xylo had already begun running, sprinting towards the gunshots which sounded like they were just two miles away at most. He slowed as he approached, hearing nothing but soft tears. They were real, loaded with genuine pain. The pain that ate away at a person’s heart. He soon recognized who it was, River standing next to two dead bodies, crying. He rushed to her side, asking worriedly “What happened? Who are these?” His eyes looked down to the two Aves, who had been brutally murdered, shaking his head in disdain as he waited for and answer.
(What if Horius killed the two...)
(Oh, yas!)
River shook her head silently. She stumbled towards him, not even trying to stop crying. Her heart felt like it had been ripped from her. "They`re dead." She choked out, whimpering. "It's... It's Fola and... And Mom." She rasped, shocked that she had called her 'Mom'. She had only ever called her mother before.

Xylo held her tightly as he processed the situation, his shirt becoming damp with her tears as they flooded from her eyes. He made sure to envelope her whole body, spreading his wings around her as she cried, sobbing violently into his chest. He whispered, genuine hurt in his own voice, "I'm so sorry." As he lowered his head to rest on hers, he saw out of the corner of his eyes. The reapers' mark. A small raven's feather laid next to the body's. The bullet sizes matched that of the gun of the wielder. Horius had been there, had robbed his partner's family from her. He gritted her teeth together in anger, vowing silently to kill that man.

Luna put her hair in a messy bun on her head, before checking her knives were at her hip, which they were. She opened the door for the two as they made a loop around the backside of the house towards the mountains, where Luna had seen the deer. She replied "Me too. I wouldn't mind going hunting a few times today if we could, our group needs all the food we can get."

Persepolis agreed, "We really should be hunting at least two times a day. Especially with River expecting." She reached down, clicking both of the guns on her hips into safety. She didn't want them accidentally discharging. Persepolis added thoughtfully, "We should really be picky about the deer we kill. We're going to have to carry it back so it can't be too big." Persepolis focused her senses, honing her hearing and eyesight specifically.

The tears flowed from River, soaking into Xylo's chest. She pressed into him, shaking, sobbing. She was clinging to him like a infant to it's mother. She gasped now and then to catch her breath, but she didn't stop crying. When she felt Xylo grind his teeth, she instinctively stiffened. She slowly turned her tear stained face to look at what he was looking at. She focused her blood-shot eyes on the feather. "But... But they were Aves..." She whimpered, then groaned. "But that doesn't matter to him, does it?"

Luna nodded, thinking out loud, "Yes, for the sake of her child we should hunt more, even though I bet Xylo's going to be on it as well." Luna nodded, responding "We can take it even if it's a little big, I'm sure my telekinesis could help carry it some of the way." Luna looked around her, trying to remember where they were. She judged three miles out, around there. She asked softly, out of the blue, "Do you think River's baby will like us? And do you think she'll let us play with it? I'd think so, but what do you think?" Luna had been pensive on the subject of offspring for a while now, it had infected her thoughts, reminding her how much she wanted her own children.

Xylo held her tightly, trying to calm her emotional shudders, patting her back gently. His heart ached with sorrow for her, along with hatred for Horius, the cursed man who only caused pain and suffering. All ties with him were broken, trampled under his feet like grass. He whispered to her, trying to maintain his calm and actually succeeding quite well, "No it doesn't. They banished him, so now he sees them as equal to the humans. And he does us, too." He never let go until she wanted him to, trying to shield her from the outside world. Nothing would stop him from murdering that man, defending his people, and protecting his partner who held his baby. He would track him down and end his miserable excuse of a life, for everyone's sake. Xylo shed a tear at her sorrow, silently letting it roll off of his face. It showed he genuinely cared, because Xylo hadn't cried since he was fourteen.

Persepolis thought about Luna's last question for a few moment, picking her way carefully through the brush as she did so. Finally, she stopped and answered, "I think her baby will like us. Babies usually tend to like just about anybody. Whether or not she'll let us play with it, I don't know. I hope so. I mean, River and Xylo are gonna want a break occasionally, right?" Persepolis' thoughts had been just as invaded by the subject of offspring. She was heartset on producing and raising offspring of herself sometime in the foreseeable future. She added with a friendly and meaningful tone, "If I ever have children, I will definitely let you play with them. You would their God Mother." She glanced at Luna, waiting for her response.

Alec grabbed his bow & arrows, & started to hunt. He got to a small stream, & climbed up into a tree, crouched down. He loaded an arrow on his bow, & waited for a deer to come. After what seemed like forever, a small group of deer came. He aimed at the smallest one of the group, and released the arrow, killing it. The living deer scattered, & Alec jumped down & grabbed the deer.
