Simeon would not back down, he was set on protecting Winter. He was fighting a large she wolf, he wasn't scared.

Ignacio followed the weak Ulven carefully, feeling bad for the dying creature. Was she hurt, was she dying? He didn't know. He could ask if she wanted some food at his cabin, or he could kill something for her. That's when he stepped on a twig.

The twig snapped. Autumn whirled around furiously, teeth snapping at empty air. A human, she knew. It smelled strange, but she was hungry and she didn't care. She leaped again at her prey, a growl forming deep in her chest.

She didn't think that she could beat him. She was too weak to risk it.
Autumn lowered herself to the ground, and rolled over on her back, in a hated submission posture. Then she whined, completely at the mercy of the other wolf.

Simeon said tiredly "I won't hurt you." Honesty emanated from his voice. He asked "When was the last time you ate?"
