Lies Spread Quickly RP

Tess grinned at Greymane hesitantly. No one had every really asked her to Change before. The few people she'd told about her Ulven blood had quickly left her. So she had stopped telling people.
Then she remembered how fast she had been to stalk that chicken. She would have to be careful, she knew. She didn't want to slaughter the cow, or the calf, or any of the animals on the farm. She had a feeling that Greymane was testing her.
She walked into the tangly woods, stripped out of her clothes, and Changed, with only a tremor of discomfort.

Looking at the farm through a wolf's eyes left Tess feeling wild. Reckless. Food was everywhere.  The lazy cows, slow chickens, and the smell of more to come? Not to mention the strong scent of human that lingered on the wind.
Tess shook her head. She wasn't even hungry - and why would she eat  Greymane? The thought troubled and repulsed her.
But still, the bounty of meat here was much more than she had found on her meager raids in the town's woods. She had to stay out of the way of hunters, which was hard in itself, but there was no prey at all there. The hunters had hunted most of the meat.
Tess snarled in disgust, determined not to let her deep-set hunger mess this up for her. She meekly walked to the spot where Greymane had left the burlap bag, the sights and smells a bit overwhelming.

Greymane folded his clothes next to the bush. Changing was hard on his old bones, but exhilarating once done. The smells and sounds hit him in the nose like a bat. His nose worked, quivering as he resisted running off for a good roll in the dirt. He had eaten pretty good today, and a good roll and a nap in the sun seemed like a really great idea. Stopping, he sniffed again, catching wind of a she-wolf nearby. He trotted out, a gruff woof in greeting. He held out his tail, his head up. His grayed out muzzle and torn ear belied his resilience and strength from years of toil, only now just waning. He stopped, waiting for her to approach him. He looked at her, his ears pointed forward.

Tess slowly approached the large, grizzled wolf. Her ears were back, her eyes were wild, her teeth were bared. She was scared.
She kept walking, reasoning to herself that it's only Greymane. Only Greymane. But hundreds of years have stamped wolf instinct into her heart. And right then, that instinct was saying: Fear him.
Tess ignored this, and, more confidently now, pranced up to him. She barked, a greeting.

Edited to change the tense... And because I called her Taylor? Hmm

When Tess had growled at him and bared her teeth, Greymane stood fast, the barest hint of a growl echoing in his chest. He tilted his muzzle up slightly as she approached. He hadn't been around another wolf on friendly terms for a long time, having hermited away for so long. He had chased all the feral ones away, and had thuroughly marked the edges with his musky scent. His hackles raised slightly, but he relaxed a little as she came nearer. He leaned forward, sniffing cautiously. His ear twitched with curiosity.

Tess walked, stiff-legged up to Greymane. She stared at him, taking in the small details: How his lustrous pelt shone in the light, how he stood with pride. How inquisition seemed to be second nature to him.
Had he been an Alpha, in that pack of him? Instinctively, probably without knowing it, he struck something akin to fear in her heart. Dominance was pressed to his fur. And something about him in wolf form made her want to please him.
Tess shook her head, her tongue lolling about in an expression of relaxation. It was just Greymane.

Seeing her calm down a bit, Greymaneconfidently strode towards Tess, his tail still held out and slightly up. He initiated a greeting, approaching with his ears perked and unwavering eyes. It was true, his old alpha ways shone through his actions. He came close enough to sniff her in greeting, and allow her to submit if she felt inclined. He wagged his tail slightly, not even paying attention to the fact that he was doing so.

At Greymane's approach, Tess shuffled back, her body fervently low to the ground. Her ears were back, and her tail lay meekly in the dust. She whined in submission, feeling like a pup again.
The thought shook her, and Tess slowly shook the dust from her pelt and stood. With Greymane behind her, she trotted over to the burlap bag, and nudged it. Then she looked back at him, pointedly, trying to convey a message.

With a doggy grin, Greymane trotted over to the bag, where the sets had been rolled out. He grabbed a seed potato in his jaws carefully, then went to the furrow nearby in the freshly tilled field. He dropped in the seed potato, then another, then another, and then, he set to gleefully covering the furrow filled with seed potatoes. The dirt flew as it mostly got where he wanted.

Tess quickly followed suit, grabbing some of the small potatoes and placing them in a furrow. Awkwardly, she tried to cover the hole. She took a lot longer than Greymane, but she did it!
Tess shook a floppy ear out of her eyes and went back for more potatoes.
